A Brush With Life at Woolaroc » 2010

More than a decade of artistic observation and interpretation is now showing at Woolaroc’s Bunkhouse Gallery as Bartlesville artist Rod Bailey displays over two dozen original oil paintings through the month of February.

The show is under the di- rection of Ken Meek, Museum Director at Woolaroc. This colorful show, which will be open to the public Wednes- day-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., will feature Bailey’s most recent works, including two petroleum landscapes and one Whitetail deer scene showing a large buck posed in front of an Osage County landscape.

The theme title of the show is A Brush with Life and will feature the petroleum industry art for which Bailey is well known along with numerous other subjects such as wildlife, spiritual themes and a painting of a scene at the Woolaroc ranch. You might even recognize the scene on your drive out of the ranch when you leave.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see dozens of works which are focused on the Oklahoma petroleum industry and local landscapes! And while you are there, take the time to tour the incredible Woolaroc Museum, one of Oklahoma’s greatest cultural treasures.

Woolaroc is an easy 15-minute drive from Bartlesville. Just take highway 123 south for 12 miles until you arrive at the historic Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve. The Brush With Life Art show is located in the Bunkhouse Gallery which is adjacent to the Lodge.
