September 29, 2007…mark your calendar now for the best party in Oklahoma this Centennial Year at Woolaroc’s “COW THIEVES & OUTLAWS REUNION” at the Woolaroc Ranch located 12 miles SW of Bartlesville and 45 miles NW of Tulsa. The Reunion is the primary fundraiser for Woolaroc and thanks to the great success of the 2006 party, the restoration of the historic Lodge at Woolaroc is now underway. The 2007 party has identified the renovation of the Heritage Theater as its primary beneficiary.
The 2007 party/fundraiser will be held at the historic Clyde Lake picnic grounds, the very place that founder Frank Phillips held the very first party back in 1926. People say that on quiet fall evenings, when the weather is just right, one can still hear the sounds of that very first party echoing through the hills of Clyde Lake!
A Private Sponsor Reception with gourmet hors d’oeuvres, spirits and piano entertainment will be prior to the Main Event and will begin at 5:30 pm at the Woolaroc Lodge. Tickets for the Reception are $125 per person. The Main Event will begin at 6:30 and tickets for it are $75 per person. Country and Western music will be provided by the fabulous Chuck Allen Floyd & The Hired Hands. Guests will dine on beef and chicken kabobs while listening to the soothing music of The Tall Cotton String Band and the native dancing of the Lenape Intertribal Dancers. Following the Main Event, acoustic guitar entertainment will be provided by the very talented Jared Tyler. Because it is Cow Thieves and because it is an approved Oklahoma Centennial Event, there will be a wonderful surprise for the guests, compliments of Woolaroc!
Selected artists from around the country have been invited to display and offer their art at the event. Some of those artists include Jay Adcock, Jay Hester, Polly Gessell, Jody Kirberger, Jan Martin McGuire and several others.
